And the work continues…

Here’s another story about Mt. Adams from Soapbox Media.

With no fan fair, the Cincinnati City Council “approved” The Mt. Adams Neighborhood Strategic Plan on April 29th. It’s kind of anti-climactical, but we will take it. I guess this is what happens when you prepare well. In the end we had total support and the hard work paid off.

The great news is that we have already started implementing the recommendations and the people of Mt. Adams have adopted the plan. We are going to figure out the best way to distribute final copies. Obviously the best way to get it will be online, but we also intend to have some official printed copies too.

Thanks again to everyone!

The plan was approved by the City Planning Commission this morning with a unanimous vote. Thank you all for your work on this plan! Your involvement, guidance, and knowledge was invaluable to the development of the plan.

Next the plan will go to City Council for approval. We will post the notice of that meeting when it is set.

Cheers!

All of the final documents have been posted to the “Documents” page. Enjoy!

The steering committee and our city planning team will be presenting to the City of Cincinnati Planning Commission this Friday, April 3rd. The meeting will be held in the Griesel Room, 7th floor, Centennial II, 805 Central Avenue (directly behind City Hall). We will be presenting the high points of the plan and seeking their approval. Anyone is welcome to attend. Thanks for your support!

With the approval by the Mt. Adams Civic Association we are now asking for volunteers who would like to help implement the recommendations for the seven key areas of focus. Click here to download the volunteer form and mail it back to us. We welcome all the help we can get.

Thanks!

Here’s another follow up story on our community planning efforts. Many thanks to Kevin LeMaster for paying attention to our little neighborhood.

On Tuesday night we presented the plan to the Mt. Adams Civic Association and received unanimous approval. About fifty residents and business owners attended the meeting. It was all very positive and we could not be more excited about the outcome.

Our next step is to present the plan to the City Planning Commission and then Cincinnati City Council. Both of those meetings are not yet scheduled, but are likely to happen this spring.

Congratulations to everyone involved.

Here is a link to the full plan. It’s a 10 MB PDF file, so it might take a while to download. Please see the Executive Summary below for the short story.
